Drivers in Winter Springs should anticipate temporary traffic disruptions near the Seminole Expressway during the upcoming week. The City of Winter Springs has announced that single-lane closures will be implemented in both directions on Winter Springs Boulevard and State Road 434 beneath State Road 417.
These restrictions are scheduled to take effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, Sept. 27, and continuing through Thursday, Oct. 1. The construction activity is part of a widening project for State Road 417 managed by the Florida Department of Transportation.
Local officials have advised motorists to allow additional time for their commutes during these hours. Drivers are also urged to remain alert for construction crews and shifting traffic patterns. Considering alternate routes is recommended to help navigate the overnight work zones safely.
