Choices in Learning Elementary Charter School in Winter Springs is testing wearable alert badges and a system that brings up nearby camera feeds when help is requested, according to a Sept. 30 announcement from technology company CENTEGIX.
The company said the school demonstrated its CrisisAlert and Alert Activated Video products on Sept. 22. Principal Jordan Rodriguez and Rick Francis, chief of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office school safety and security department, hosted the demonstration.
Under the pilot, staff can use a badge to summon help from a nurse, administrator or other responder. CENTEGIX says its video integration can present camera feeds associated with an alert’s location.
