Anyone who wants a say in Winter Springs' city races this fall has until Monday, Oct. 5, to register to vote, according to the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections.
The Nov. 3 general election ballot will carry all three city seats that are up this year, and each one is contested.
The city races
All three are four-year terms, according to the city's notice of qualified candidates:
- Mayor: Kevin McCann and Jesse Phillips
- Commissioner, District 2: Victoria Bruce and Ken Spalthoff
- Commissioner, District 4: Cade Resnick and Kyle Stewart
Winter Springs holds its municipal election on the same day as the general election, so city voters will see these races on the same ballot as state and county contests.
Key dates
The elections office lists these deadlines for the general election:
- Oct. 5: last day to register to vote in the Nov. 3 election
- Oct. 19 to Nov. 1: early voting across Seminole County, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily
- Oct. 22: last day to request that a mail ballot be sent
- Nov. 3: Election Day
