A morning Halloween fundraiser benefiting Make-A-Wish returns to Seminole County on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Kids Day runs 9 a.m. until noon at A Petrified Forest, a seasonal Halloween attraction at 1360 E. Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs, WFTV reported. The attraction partners with Seminole Science Charter School on the event, which offers trick-or-treating, crafts, games and a parade for children in costume.
Tickets cost $5, with the money going to the Central and Northern Florida chapter of Make-A-Wish. WFTV reported that students and staff at the school gave 43,000 pieces of candy to hand out this year.
According to organizers, the event has brought in over $50,000 for the charity since it began, and last year's edition topped $5,500. The Sanford Herald put the 2025 total at $5,513.
