Winter Springs, Florida — Monday marks the statutory voter registration deadline across Florida for the upcoming November 3 general election, closing the window for eligible residents to register or update their voting records ahead of statewide races.
Under Florida election law, individuals must complete registration at least 29 days prior to an election to participate at the polls. Eligible Floridians have up until 11:59 p.m. Monday to submit registration applications through the state’s digital election portal, RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov. Completing an online submission requires the applicant's Florida driver license or state ID card number, the issuance date of that credential, and the final four Social Security digits.
Floridians can complete physical registration forms on Monday by visiting their county Supervisor of Elections office, local tax collector offices that issue driver licenses, or designated voter registration agencies. Mail-in paper applications must carry an official postmark of October 5 to be processed for the November ballot. Because Florida does not permit same-day voter registration at polling places on Election Day, residents who miss Monday's cutoff will be ineligible to cast a ballot in November. To register, applicants are required to hold United States citizenship, maintain legal Florida residency, and reach age 18 on or before November 3, with voting rights restored if previously convicted of a felony.
