The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the host Dallas Cowboys 24-16 on Thursday, October 8, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The win improved the Buccaneers to a 1-4 record, while the Cowboys dropped to 2-3. Attendance at the venue reached 92,351 for the contest.

Dallas established an early lead in the first quarter when Javonte Williams rushed for a one-yard touchdown, followed by a successful kick from Brandon Aubrey. Chase McLaughlin then kicked a 41-yard field goal to make it 24-10. In the fourth quarter, Dallas scored a touchdown on an 18-yard pass from Dak Prescott to George Pickens, but failed on a two-point conversion, leaving the final margin at eight points.

Player Performances

Bucky Irving was the standout performer for Tampa Bay, accumulating 165 rushing yards on 21 carries and scoring a touchdown. He also caught a pass for his second score of the game. Jalon Daniels completed 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown.

For the Cowboys, Dak Prescott passed for 316 yards on 24 of 42 attempts, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Javonte Williams rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, while George Pickens had a significant receiving day with 130 yards on nine catches and a touchdown. Tez Johnson contributed 64 yards on a single reception for Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers controlled the pace of the game, limiting Dallas to 16 points despite Prescott's passing output.
