De’Von Achane left Miami’s home game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 27 after suffering a knee injury about five minutes into the contest. The Dolphins later listed their running back as questionable to return.
The injury appeared to occur without contact, although the exact circumstances were not clear. Achane left the field with trainers and entered the team’s blue medical tent before going to the locker room.
He was able to walk without assistance, but did so cautiously. Miami’s official injury update identified the issue as a knee injury and gave no further details about its severity.
The Dolphins entered the game after struggling to produce offense during the first two weeks of the regular season. Kansas City was undefeated entering the matchup.
