Minnesota Holds On

Antonio Reeves' 7-foot driving floating jump shot gave Minnesota the final lead, and the Timberwolves held on to defeat the Miami Heat 125-124 on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Kaseya Center. Bones Hyland scored 23 points for Minnesota, which won despite Miami finishing with a 40-point fourth quarter.

Ryan Conwell led Miami with 22 points and nine assists. Nick Richards added 10 rebounds for the Heat, who played at home before an attendance of 19,600.

Minnesota Builds Its Lead

Minnesota led 24-23 after the first quarter and extended the margin in the second. The Timberwolves outscored Miami 36-33 in that period to take a 60-56 advantage into halftime.

Hyland supplied Minnesota's leading scoring total, while Jaylen Clark recorded five assists. Trey Lyles had eight rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Heat Rally in Fourth

The Timberwolves added 31 points in the third quarter, compared with 28 for Miami, to carry a 91-84 lead into the final period. The Heat then scored 40 points in the fourth while Minnesota scored 34.

Miami moved ahead 124-123 before Reeves answered with the basket that put Minnesota in front 125-124. Conwell's 22 points and nine assists paced the Heat's late push, and Richards finished with 10 rebounds.

Records

The victory moved Minnesota to 2-1. Miami also finished the game with a 2-1 record.
