Wild Take Control Early

Kirill Kaprizov scored three goals and added an assist as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Florida Panthers 4-1 on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. Minnesota, the visiting team, built a two-goal lead in the first period and carried that advantage through the rest of the game.

Matt Boldy opened the scoring for the Wild with a snap shot, giving Minnesota a 1-0 lead. Jared Spurgeon and Kaprizov assisted on the goal. Kaprizov then scored on a snap shot to make it 2-0, with Maxim Shabanov and Quinn Hughes credited with assists.

Panthers Answer in Second

Florida got on the scoreboard in the second period when Matthew Tkachuk scored on a wrist shot. The goal cut Minnesota’s lead to 2-1, and Tkachuk finished with one goal and one point.

The Wild restored their two-goal margin later in the period. Kaprizov scored his second goal of the game on a snap shot, with Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek assisting, to put Minnesota ahead 3-1 after two periods.

Kaprizov Completes Three-Goal Game

Kaprizov added his third goal in the third period, scoring on a wrist shot to complete the game’s scoring at 4-1. No assists were listed on the goal.

Kaprizov finished with three goals, one assist and four points for Minnesota. The Wild scored twice in the first period, once in the second and once in the third. Florida scored once in the second period.

Records

The result left Minnesota with a 3-1-1 record and seven points. Florida moved to 2-1-2 with six points. The Panthers were the home team, and the game was played at Amerant Bank Arena.
