Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes Sunday as the Jacksonville Jaguars answered last week's loss with a 35-6 home win over the New England Patriots at EverBank Stadium.
The Associated Press said coach Liam Coen spent the week emphasizing response, and Jacksonville delivered without trailing. Per CBS Sports' box score, Lawrence completed 19 of 29 passes for 182 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception - a tipped ball Marcus Jones returned - for a 102.9 rating.
The Jaguars improved to 2-1 and kept first place in the AFC South; New England fell to 1-2.

DaVon Hamilton recovered a Drake Maye fumble late in the first quarter, the Jaguars' site reported, and Lawrence capped the ensuing 10-play, 62-yard drive with a 12-yard touchdown to Josh Cameron. An 18-yard completion to Parker Washington on third-and-5 kept that series alive.
After Andy Borregales' 35-yard field goal - set up by Jones' interception of the tipped Lawrence pass that caromed off tight end Brenton Strange - Lawrence hit Jakobi Meyers for a 10-yard score and a 14-3 halftime lead. Meyers finished with seven catches for 64 yards and that touchdown against his former club, CBS Sports listed.
Travis Hunter's first career interception, an end-zone pick of Maye with just over a minute left in the half, preserved the two-score cushion, both the AP and team report said.
Cam Little pushed a 70-yard field-goal try wide right as the half expired, the AP noted. Little had the distance; the kick missed by a couple of feet.
