Lawrence Throws Three Touchdowns as Jaguars Rout Patriots 35-6

Coming off their worst offensive performance in nearly a year, the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the New England Patriots 35-6 Sunday at EverBank Stadium.

Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes, and the Jaguars won their sixth straight regular-season home game, according to the Associated Press. They are 2-1.

Pulling away

After a scoreless first quarter, Lawrence found Josh Cameron for a 12-yard touchdown. New England's only points of the half came on Andy Borregales' 35-yard field goal, and Lawrence answered with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jakobi Meyers for a 14-3 halftime lead.

Jacksonville put it away late in the third quarter with two touchdowns in 18 seconds of game clock: a 17-yard pass from Lawrence to Parker Washington, who made a fingertip catch in the end zone, and a 5-yard run by Chris Rodriguez Jr. Bhayshul Tuten added a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

A rough day for Maye

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye completed 14 of 25 passes for 199 yards with two interceptions, fumbled twice and lost one, and was pulled in the fourth quarter with the game out of reach. He has one touchdown pass and six interceptions through three games, the AP reported.

Leaders

Lawrence completed 19 of 29 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception, and ran for 25 yards. Tuten led the Jaguars with 73 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, and Meyers caught seven passes for 64 yards and a score. Mack Hollins had six catches for 87 yards for New England, which fell to 1-2.
