Florida is among 37 states that received 28-ounce bottles of Gatorade now under recall because the labels left out the yellow food dyes in the drinks, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

PepsiCo, which owns the Gatorade brand, is recalling 122,021 cases of four flavors in the 28-ounce size:

  • Lemon Lime
  • Lemon Lime Zero
  • Orange
  • Orange Zero

The bottles contain Yellow No. 5, Yellow No. 6 or both, the FDA said. ABC News reported that the affected bottles carry lot dates in April, May and June 2027, and WJXT in Jacksonville advised shoppers to look for the lot code on the bottom or side of the bottle. The full list of lot codes is posted with the FDA's enforcement report.

The company began the recall voluntarily on Sept. 25, and the FDA classified it on Oct. 2 as Class II, a level used when a product could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects and serious harm is unlikely.
