Orlando City's playoff cushion grew by three points Saturday, and the night's lasting numbers belonged to the goalkeeper and the winger who finished it.
The Lions beat the Columbus Crew 3-2 at Inter&Co Stadium to move to 11-13-4 and 37 points, still seventh in the Eastern Conference, the club's match report said. Maxime Crépeau made a club-record 12 saves, surpassing the previous mark of 11 shared by Mason Stajduhar and Crépeau himself.
Iván Angulo scored in the 89th minute for the winner and extended his MLS scoring streak to five consecutive matches, tying Antoine Griezmann for the longest single-season streak in club history.
Harvey Sarajian opened the scoring in the first minute - the third-fastest goal in club history - finishing after Angulo cut a pass back and Griezmann picked him out, Orlando City reported. Columbus equalized in the seventh through Taha Habroune. Griezmann restored the lead in the 16th with a free kick, his 10th goal across all competitions since joining in the summer.
Brais Méndez leveled again in the 53rd before Angulo's late strike off a Martín Ojeda return pass.
Why the saves mattered as much as the goals
Crépeau faced sustained late pressure after Orlando took the lead, the club said, and the record total framed a night when Columbus generated enough looks to steal a point. Interim coach Martín Perelman praised Angulo's scoring run and said many players are contributing while the group stays humble about needed improvements.
Angulo's goal was his fifth straight MLS match with a goal. He also entered with a club-leading assist total and added to it on Sarajian's opener - his 12th assist of 2026 across all competitions and 43rd all-time for the Lions, per the club. Ojeda's assist was his third of 2026 and 45th all-time; he remains two assists from Mauricio Pereyra's club record.
